01OUR MISSION

Education that evolves with the world.

At Joy for Learning, we believe that education must evolve as fast as the world around us. In an era of rapid technological advancement, academic success is no longer just about passing traditional exams — it is about equipping 21st-century learners with the adaptability, critical thinking, and technical literacy they need to thrive globally.

Our mission is to transform a student’s attitude toward learning by combining personalised academic tutoring and mentorship with a forward-thinking focus on STEM skills.

02OUR STORY

Meet our founder.

Joy for Learning was founded in 2025 by an alumna of a prominent UK Russell Group university. Her deep-rooted passion for teaching was inherited early on, shaped by family members who have dedicated over 25 years to the education sector. This legacy, combined with her extensive national and international travel and studies, gave her a uniquely broad perspective on how different cultures approach learning.

Having moved abroad as a child and navigated the rigorous International Baccalaureate (IB) system alongside various UK national and international standardised assessments, she experienced first-hand the pressures and complexities of modern global education.

It was during her university years, whilst working for a tutoring company in London, that the blueprint for her own agency was born. She saw a critical gap: the need for educational guidance that bridges traditional academics with the fast pace of global tech innovation. Driven by her national and global insights, and the belief that the right mentor can unlock a child's innate curiosity, she transformed her hands-on tutoring experience into a premier educational agency dedicated to tailored, individual development and support in the academic world.

OUR ADVISOR

We have an advisor on the team with 25+ years of teaching, leading, inspecting and evaluating experience of schools nationally and internationally. The depth of experience the advisor brings allows us to design and support the implementation of the curriculum and supports quality assurance for the tutors. Great care is taken to align and design the learning so that the teaching reflects the subject specific requirements from the curriculum that will be examined.

03THE JOY FOR LEARNING APPROACH

For the next exam and everything after.

We prepare students not just for the next exam, but for the future marketplace. Our methodology rests on three core pillars.

01 / FUTURE-READY

STEM focus

We actively nurture Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths skills, ensuring our learners become tech-competent innovators capable of adapting to advancements in any professional field.

02 / PERSONAL

The mentor match

We personalise and match students’ specific academic curricula (including IB, GCSE, A-Levels, 11+ and SATs) to their needs, unique personality and learning style.

03 / GLOBAL

Global mindset, individual care

Drawing from our founder’s national UK and international background, we understand the diverse pathways of global education and tailor our strategies to meet each family's distinct goals.

Empower your child to lead the future. Whether your child is navigating exams, boosting their confidence, or mastering the skills needed for a changing world, we are here to guide.

04TESTIMONIALS

Kind words from our families.

I am incredibly grateful for the excellent support you provided to Alice during her GCSE preparation. You were patient, approachable, and very easy to communicate with, which made a huge difference for Alice and helped build her academic confidence. You helped in making difficult Physics topics easier to understand and also helped improve her exam technique by working through mark schemes and going over subject material in a clear and structured way. What I liked most was the calm and encouraging environment you created, which led to helping with management of stress leading up to GCSEs. I would highly recommend you to any parent looking for a knowledgeable, supportive, and understanding tutor.

I just wanted to say thank you for all the help and support you gave me during my GCSE preparation. You were always very approachable and easy to communicate with, which made me feel very comfortable and confident during our sessions. Working through mark schemes with you improved my exam technique and helped me understand what examiners were looking for, which significantly helped me gain my GCSE grade. I’m also very grateful for the help you gave me with other science subjects and Maths whenever I needed it.

I would highly recommend my tutor for Nat 5 Maths, Biology, and Chemistry. She created a welcoming and comfortable learning environment, which made it much easier for me to ask questions, build confidence, and engage with topics I previously found difficult. Her explanations were always clear, detailed, and easy to follow, especially when it came to equations, calculations, and problem-solving. She was incredibly patient and adapted her teaching style to suit the way I learn. Thanks to her guidance, my understanding and confidence in all three subjects improved significantly.
